Nomad Surf Camps organises the coolest surf camp for people in the ages between 18 and 21. It’s a 2 week surf camp during the Sol da Caparica Music festival so the party is guaranteed!
An international Surf Camp in Portugal with young people from all over the world . The Nomad Surf Camp (Lisbon) is located in Costa Caparica Beach.
We moved our operation only 100 meters from the beach and only 15 minutes from Lisbon International Airport. It is one of many vacation spots in central Portugal which is noted for its beauty and tourist possibilities.
A privileged location for a Surf camp near a very long sandy beach with mellow beach breaks perfect for beginners. It’s an idyllic place for the practice and especially learning to Surf during the summer. Our summer camp has been hosting young adults, Erasmus and University Students with ages of 18-21 years old from Russia, Italy, UK, France, Switzerland, Belgium, USA, Canada, Spain, and other countries over the years.
All activities are done in English, but staff also help in Portuguese, Spanish and French when needed. Accommodation in shared room organized by gender or full privacy in twin rooms. Big shared bathrooms with separate showers in a hostel that has a swimming pool, chill WiFi area, Surf Skate Ramp, and only 100 metres from the music festival.

At our Lisbon Surf Camp for Young Adults, the strong breakfast consists of fruits, orange juice, toasts, whole grain bread, jams, honey, milk, coffee, chocolate milk, ham, cheese, muesli, and corn flakes.
Lunches: starter, main course, dessert, water, and juice. After surf snack in between the second surf session and afternoon activities consist of sandwiches, fruit, and juice.
Dinners are varied and include all the necessary nutrition for teenagers this age. A starter or soup, main course, and dessert. Juices and water also included. We cater to Celiacs or Vegetarian teens as well.
Sol da Caparica Music festival. The greatest music festival in Portugal only a few metres from the surf camp. Its a 5 day festival with great Reggae, Hip hop, and African music. Great fun!
Wednesday we do Pub Crawl in old town Lisbon.
Friday night will be the big party. We will start with a pre-party at the surf camp with barbecue at the surf camp which includes free flow of Sangria and Beer. At mid night we will go to the one of the Bars at the beach to finish of.
We are the only surf camp in the world for young people of the ages from 18 to 21 years old. With like-minded people of the same age and interests, this fosters a wonderful, upbeat environment.
Nomad Surf Camps has moved its operation in Lisbon to a newly built building on the beach so now our campers can walk 100 metres to the beach for the surf lessons.
Every package includes shared accommodation with AC (or full privacy in twin rooms also available). The facilities that are included in the Surf camp (swimming pool, free wifi, etc). The first day as they will only have dinner included and last day when they only have breakfast included.

Surfing Lessons
One of the top surf schools in Portugal, the Algarve location has a long history of teaching young surfers. World-class beachfront and conceivably the greatest and most reliable waves in Europe in the summer. We provide two 2-hour surf lessons every day. 4 hours total each day.

How are the waves?
Costa da Caparica is known to have some of the best beach breaks in the Lisbon region. Its also the home to some of the most prestigious European surf contests. It is protected from the predominant northerly winds so its usually glassier than other Lisbon surf breaks. It is also known to have slightly smaller swell than in places like Guincho or Praia Grande so therefor its perfect for surfers as the swells in Costa da Caparica can be surfable when the west coast is maxing out.
Our Surf Camp for Young Adults in Portugal is in Costa da Caparica Coast, only 20 minutes from Lisbon downtown and Lisbon International Airport. With an extension of 13 km of sandy beaches surrounded by the nature reserves of Costa da Caparica Fossil Cliff and Mêdos National Woods.
Almada also has historic centers and countless places worth to visit, such as the Zagallos Manor House, in Sobreda or the Contemporary Art Centre at Casa da Cerca, in Old Almada, among many other suggestions.
The Surf Camp is only 1 min walking to the beach, restaurants, bakery, and supermarkets.

Check-in Time: Our Surf camp for Young Adults in Lisbon starts in the afternoon. Check-in after 4 PM
Check-out Time: On check out day, the departures in the mornings after breakfast, although we can drop off at a later time if necessary.
